Here's what made it so beary special (it's a novel folks ;) )...
Sleeping Beauty PlayDustin parents came in for the weekend, so on Friday night Jean & I took Chloe to a children's production of Sleeping Beauty. It was soooo cute- the kids did a great job and it reminded me of when I use to spend summer at my grandma's doing theatre camp. Chloe enjoyed every minute of it- she sang along, asked questions, clapped, and when it was all over she she asked if we could watch it again. Afterwards, she got to meet all the characters.

Civil War Re-enactmentSaturday morning, we went to a civil war re-enactment. It was super neat! Th civil war is an amazing period of time and it was interesting to be able to "experience" it.

The InspirationSo I based Lilah's whole party on her "pinkbeary" a stuft bear that she loves. She carries it around with her, gives it snuggles, and has it in her hand when she gets up from her naps. I thought I was all clever until a couple of days before the party I look at it closer and realize it is a cat- oh well ;).
A Very Beary BirthdayLilah's first birthday party went really well the kids made Build-a-Bears, Lilah loved opening her presents, and we had greek food for dinner. It was great spending time with friends and family!

The eating of the cakeLilah had no problem digging into her cake. She even sprinkled some of it on her head.

Video from the FestivitiesBeary HomemadeThe great thing about the Fenn Girls Birthday season is I've been able to do lots of baking. I got the cupcake idea from Wilton's website and the cake is after a pink bear that I printed out. I also made a celeBEARate banner.

Nana & Papa's Homecoming TalksOn Sunday we headed up to Dustin's parents house for there homecoming talks- they gave beautiful talks and was great to hear some tidbits from their mission to Wyoming. We even had Dutch Oven peach cobbler for dessert.
