After a rather interesting week of apartment hunting I believe we are finally done.
I meet some funny characters (the japanese man who became my un-offical realtor was the best) and saw so much of the greater LA area it gave me a headache. Probably didn't help that I changed my mind about a dozen times about where and what to live in.
We thought we were done on Wednesday when we found guest house in Calabasas, but that turned out to be a bum deal (the house is on the market and they kept raising amount they wanted for rent). Then on friday I drove out to the boondocks only to find a super nice trailer with a yellow bath tub. I think the saying "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is" rings true.
So anyho we finally bit the bullet and realize that anywhere descent is just going to be expensive. So we decided that LA would be best for us right now- that way Dustin doesn't have a killer commute and I think it will be fun to live in the city for a year or so. We found a cute little duplex in Culver City in a nice little neighborhood. We may even be in Grandma's ward =). Anyho-here's a pic (it's the back unit)
