AOTW #31: Santa Monica Pier

Well today we went our last Adventure of the Week while living in LA. Hard to believe we have been on over 30 of them! We might have to be a bit more creative out in Thousand Oaks and it will probably turn into the Adventure of the Month once we have two little rascals =).
We've had tons of fun exploring LA and today was no exception. Chloe had a great time chasing the birds and using a bike rack as a playground. We even went on the new Ferris Wheel, Chloe totally got into it she was pointing things out and she would go "wheee" when it moved. We are definitely going to miss being so close to all these neat things!

Memorial Day Weekend

On Saturday, John, Jean, Brian, and Amanda came to LA and we went over to the The Farmer's Market and The Grove. We had a fun time and of course, Dustin had to get his Pinkberry fix. Thanks for coming you guys!

On Sunday, We had dinner over at my grandma's. She has been feeding us at least a few times a month since we moved here. She makes like 5 course dinners =) and it tastes sooo good! It's going to be hard not being so close but hopefully will still be able to visit often.

On Monday we went up to always happening Adams House for Memorial Day. We had a great time and we were able to drop off some stuff at the new place. Dustin and I even got to go test drive his "dream car" (A Jaguar XF ) I have to admit it was a pretty sweet car.

Elmo Grows Up

This morning we took the girls and Merrick to a Sesame Street Live Show in Thousand Oaks. They totally got into it were dancing and clapping with the music! After about an hour and a half the show was still going but we decided we all got our Elmo fix, and decided to go get lunch at Claim Jumpers. Who knows how long that show lasts =).

Earlier in the week we made Chloe and Reagan matching Elmo t-shirts using freezer stencils. I decided to be craftsy and got the idea from my friend Chelsey's blog.

Ch-Ch-Changes

Well, looks we aren't going to make it another May without moving =) (we have moved every May since we've been together). This month has been pretty crazy, Dustin is going into some new business ventures. So it's a really exciting time for us and so far we have discovered that having an "office" in the living area isn't the most productive situation =).
Thus, we must move again. Oh yeah and we also decided not to buy a house. We were having such bad luck from the get-go is was like the spirit was "screaming" that now is not the time. Plus once you figure in mortage, taxes, down payment, and a 30 year commitment- yikes!
Luckily we have a renter for our place and found a great place in Thousand Oaks. The rent is the exact same but we get a dishwasher (yes!), an extra bedroom, 1.5 extra bathrooms, a usable garage, community pool, walk in closet and my personal favorite a jetted garden tub =). Hard to believe, we move next weekend! We will miss living in Los Angeles and especially being so close to my Grandma!

Hopefully now that I will have my own bathroom Chloe will stay away from my mascara =):

Oh man, that was the craziest game ever,

What a roller coaster game. It was like a day in the life of a bipolar person; I am so sad; I am SOOO happy; this is the best day of my life. Now I know exactly what it feels like to have a mental disorder, I feel your pain "Dr." Phil (no wait he's retarded, but that's kind of like bipolar, plus Tim Duncan looks like he has Downs Syndrome, so I guess it all works out). Well, on to game 2. If we can just play 4 quarters of basketball we should win by 20. Lets go Lakers!

Go Lakers!

Looks like the Lakers are moving on against the Spurs. Dustin got to go to their last home playoff game against the Jazz with his brother, Brian. He pratically lost his voice cheering them on. I'm not a huge basketball fan, but I do like when LA teams win!

Disneyland with Chris & Stacy

Yesterday Chloe and I went to Disneyland with my brother's fam and we had a great time. The girls looked so cute in their matching outfits and they both enjoyed meeting Minnie Mouse. Thanks for letting me tag along you guys =)!

How Crazy is this?

So our last day in Florida we were at getting breakfast at the hotel and Chloe started crying. Well before we could even get our food, a lady very rudely tells us " Can you just that take that baby out! I can't handle her crying!" It had been like 2 minutes!! So we as politely as possible tell her " that we will not take her out, we are in public place and she is just crying because she is hungry and teething" Well the lady doesn't quit and starts telling her friend how rude we are staying with a crying baby. At what? A continental breakfast at a hotel !?! Well good old pregnant me, I start crying and DH sees me so he goes over and says " Look I don't appreciate the way you are treating my family" She stands up and goes crazy- "F- you! Get out my F-ing face! Get the F out of here! It's my grandma's funeral today! " So by now, I'm sobbing, management comes over, everyone is staring. We leave the room explain what happen they start apologizing, offer to bring food to our room. Dustin is so mad, I'm still upset so we just walk out the door and end up going to McDonald's drive thru- can you believe that !?!

I mean, I know her grandma died but she was at least 50 years old, so her grandma wasn't exactly a spring chicken. People go through hard times but it doesn't mean you have to take it out on a total stranger and if you want peace and quiet there is a thing called room service. I can honestly say that I have never been so offended in my life. I have never heard anyone talk to Dustin that way or act like we are the worst people in the world for having a crying baby. It's hard to forgive and forget someone for treating your family that way but I'm just hoping it really was just an extremely hard day for her and she doesn't ever do that to someone again. I suggest she doesn't go on a Club Med vacation, haha.

The Best of the Rest

Happy Mother's Day! Looks like our time in Florida is coming to an end. On friday, we left Club med =( and baby club med, double =(. That afternoon we drove down to Miami and checked out South Beach (Sobe).

On saturday, we went to an Aligator Farm in the Everglades. It was pretty sweet, we got to watch a gator show and Chloe got to pet baby aligator. But the highlight was definately the airboat ride. Chloe didn't like it, but we thought it was great! The everglades are sooo amazing and the boat would even spin around!

After the farm we went down to the Florida Keys, such a pretty drive! We had a fun time playing in the warm water. While Chloe and Dust were playing,I just closed my eyes and saved it away as my "happy place" =). We even got some Key Lime pie.

Today has pretty quiet. Dustin brought me breakfast in bed and Chloe has been an absolute pill today. I'm not feeling well so the constant crying is getting a little hard to handle, I guess it's a more "realistic" Mother's Day =). Anyho we fly out tommorrow- we've had a great time!

FLORDIA...

This is forever how the state of Florida will be remembered, as you can see from the photo below, Chelsea needs some sand spelling lessons (the sad thing is that she actually spelled Florida wrong twice, what a cute mom). Any way, things here in Flordia are great. The weather has been splendid and the Club Med is to die for. We have had a ton of fun shooting arrows, playing golf, sailing and more sailing (apparently I am somewhat of a master sailor), plenty of sun time, and way too much food time (the food is great, so is the booze ;). But I must say the best part of this vacation is dropping Chloe off at Mini Club Med for the day, every day. She loves being with other kids and all the toys. The beaches are fantabulous and so are all the hot babes. We will be heading off to the everglades this weekend hopefully for some gator-burgers and a sweet air boat ride. Pray that we don't get jacked by a massive gator, or those crazy flamingos - I said it, FLAMINGOS!

Pregnancy Update

Just had my second doctors appointment today and everything is going well. I got to hear the little heartbeat for the first time. Hard to believe tommorrow I am 1/3 of the way through my pregnancy! I have to admit so far I'm having a much easier time than with Chloe, barely any morning sickness, but yet I still can't get away from the tiredness =)! We feel so blessed to have another one on the way!
Anyho, tommorrow we are off to Florida! We are going to do a Club Med vacation, and I am soooo excited! It should be pretty sweet since they have a kids club for Chloe, a golf course for Dustin, and some lounge chairs for me =)! Anyho, not sure if I'll be able to post but if not I'll update you when we get back!

San Diego

On Wednesday we went to San Diego so Dustin could go to an electronic convention. While Dust was gone, Chloe & I went to the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla. We had a fun time looking at the fish and playing the fake tidepools. The night I insisted we have dinner at the Souplantation and it wasn't as good I remembered. Oh well =).

The next day we went to Belmont Park after Dustin was done with the convention. Well, first we went to Balboa Park but then we realized that it wasn't the park we were thinking of, luckily Chloe was taking a nap. Chloe & I had a nice time going with Dust on our first business trip!
