Sweet Surprise

My mom made our lunch at Buca extra special this week by decorating our table with balloons and bringing gifts for Lilah. My sister Annie also suprised me, since she had a half day at school. I feel so blessed to have such a great family and it bears repeating, Lilah is going to be one well dressed baby =)!

Adventures in Arrowhead

Looks like I wasn't the only one having fun. Chloe got to spend the day with her Nana while the guys played golf. Looks like they were busy, Chloe even got to be part of sharing time. Thanks Jean!!!




















P.S. I had my 39 week appointment this morning and I'm 2cm dilated and fully effaced! Looks like Disneyland and false labor did something =)

Mini Mommy Vacation

So Dustin took Chloe up yesterday to Lake Arrowhead to see the fam. Since the drive was a little too long for me, I ended up having a little time to myself and it has been soooo nice! I went out to lunch my mom, did our nails, got my hair cut and colored, wrote in Lilah's baby book, took a bubble bath, slept in, got a beanscene blast, went shopping, it's been wonderful! I LOVE being a mom but every once and awhile it is nice to have a little break, thanks Dust and Jean for taking care of Miss Chlo!

Our last Hoorah

Things are going to start slowing down in the Fenn Household, so we decided to have one more busy weekend before baby...

Dinner with Friends
Dustin picked up our friends Aaron and Helen after a trip to Panama, so we were able to go out dinner with them that night. I also had some pretty good false labor going on before they came, but the contractions ended after an hour- hopefully I dilated a little!













A Mini Mission Reunion
A couple of guys from Dustin's Reunion were in town, so we met them down at Disneyland on Friday. Everyone was really nice and it was great to meet new people and hear stories from the good Omaha, Nebraska mission.













Siblings R Special Class
This morning Chloe and I went to a class at hospital for kids who are about to be big brothers or sisters. It was actually a really neat class, Chloe got to ride in a wheelchair, draw a picture for Lilah's hospital bassinet and went to the nursery to see a baby. She also took a liking to the teacher and even grabbed her hand when it was time to leave.

















Ward Trunk or Treat Party
We also had our ward Halloween Party today. Let's just say Chloe isn't the best trick or treater, she either trades her candy, gives it away, or walks around asking people to open it. Chloe also got to hang out with her little buddy Clara.

















Trick or Treat Street
Since Chloe was on a sugar high after the ward party we took her over to a local Halloween Party where she got one more piece of candy and ran around like a wild child. She also got a little mermaid tattoo from a Thin Mint Cookie =).

Doctor Appointments

Chloe and the Doctors
I think Chloe may be even more quirky than I am, because she loves going to the doctor's office. Somedays I'll ask her where she wants to go and she says "mommy's doctor, not chloe's doctor" or "chloe's doctor, not mommy's doctor." One appointment the doctor looked up my nose, and everytime we go back she talks about it- go figure, maybe we need to start saving for med school =).

Chloe's 2 Year
We decided to switch from our Really Old Doctor, because not only was he really old but he was also REALLY grumpy. Our new doctor is soooo much better, he actually makes Chloe smile. Anyho turns out our other doctor was smoking something because Chloe is short (40%) with a big head (90%) =). She did so good with her Flu shot and the doctor said the only thing wrong with her is that she was "too cute", did I mention I like our new doctor?

My 38 Week Appointment
Went well, Lilah's head is low and I passed my Strep test. It was crazy though because the doctor asked if I wanted to be induced next Thursday, yikes! I said no thankyou, and I'll wait to see next week if I'm dilated before we start talking about induction dates. It's just blows my mind that we'll have another baby in the next couple of weeks, it's gone so fast!

Lunch Bunch

Chloe, My mom, and I have started to be regulars Buca Di Bepo for lunch. I never would have thought it would be a good lunch place but they have smaller portions, it's quiet, and at the end you get free gelato..yummy!













p.s. Chloe got her "big ouchie" trying to walk in my mom's shoes and having an unfortunate fall on the fireplace

AOTW #54: Underwood Harvest Festival

Since the weather is so beautiful today and they are still working on the roof, we decided to make our annual visit to Underwood's Harvest Festival. It turned out to be quite a fun little venture especially since Chloe walked the whole time =). Unlike last year, Chloe loved the pony ride and naming all the animals. We even got lost in the corn maze and walked through a field of pumpkins to find the cutest "little pumpkin". I think Chloe really must have liked it because on the ride home she says "I want to do it again in mommy's car" (we have Dustin's truck today)

Quirky Me

I got tagged to write 10 quirky things about me...

1. I'm a planner, I love having things on my calendar! It makes me sad when I don't have a vacation or special event to look forward to.
2. I have only gotten two positive pregnancy tests because once I get a positive one I'm too afraid to test again. The line on my pregnancy test with Lilah was so faint I probably should have tested again before spreading the news we were pregnant =).
3. Speaking of pregnancy tests, I haven't thrown them away yet. Now some may think it is gross that I keep pee on a stick and I might even have to agree, but for some reason I just can't throw them away.

4. I love all things recreation! Fairs, carnivals, museums, parties, any
thing! I even have a file where I keep articles and magazines with fun stuff to do. Good thing I was a Rec Major right?
5. I hold grudges against food and places, not people. I will boycott food and places with the best of them, but I can't think of one person I'm holding a grudge against, well maybe Madonna but she drives me nuts.
6. I think after I speak. Sometimes I say the craziest stuff and a few seconds my brains catches up and I'm like "ah crap, that was really stupid =)"
7. I'm trying not to blame anything on my pregnancy to Chloe. For example, if I'm tired and want to sit down I say " I'm sorry mommy's legs hurt"
8. I'm the fastest blogger in the west, sometimes I can have a post up within an hour of getting home from somewhere
9. I eat cereal all the time, breakfast, dessert, snack, I just LOOOVVVEEE cereal
10. Sometimes I feel like I'm just a weirdo and that's fine with me.

Disneyland Birthday and Pumpkins

For Chloe's actual birthday we went down to Disneyland to celebrate. My mom came too and Brian & his girlfriend met us there. We had a great time despite the hot weather and crowds. Chloe didn't freak out on haunted mansion and we spent a lot of time in "princess land, she also got a phone call from Mickey Mouse wishing her a happy birthday. Her Snow White outfit was quite the hit and she got plenty of compliments, eventhough she thought she was the little mermaid =). Afterwards we had a lovely dinner at El Torito Grill. Thanks for the great day!





















Today we got to out to lunch with my friends, Emily and Nadia. Afterwards we went to the Calabasas pumpkin festival where I turned them into my little Mommies =). It was sooo great seeing them, it's always nice to have some girl time.



















P.s Chloe got hooked up with some pretty sweet outfits for her Birthday. Her uncle Brian got her a Snow White costume and her Aunt Stacy got her a birthday girl shirt.

Happy Birthday Chloe!

My little baby is 2 years old today! She has changed so much this past year, it's crazy. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful daughter, Happy Birthday Chloe!

Almost Full Term!

Had a doctor's appt this morning and everything is going well. I'm not dilated so I guess that means I need to cut loose more=):

















Actually I'm not in huge hurry, especially at night when I think about the sleeping schedule of a newborn =). Anyho, I'm still feeling pretty good and I think we have all the necessary items for baby. I still can't believe we are going to be family of four soon!

Chloe's Big Birthday Party

This has been quite the Weekend. On Friday we went and saw Annie's volleyball team crush my Alma Matter in 3 games. Chloe was so excited to have her cousins, aunts and uncle in town!

Yesterday was Chloe's Big Birthday party. We decided to do a family party and we are so lucky to have such a supportive family that drove from near and far for the occasion. We started the festivities by taking an old antique train to a pumpkin patch in Santa Paula.

Once we got back, we had pizza and ice cream sandwiches at our place. Chloe loved eating frosting and I couldn't believe how much she liked opening her presents. It took her forever too because she wanted to play with each one =). She has changed sooo much since last year- I bet she will love christmas! Anyho, THANKS everyone SO SO Much for such a fun day!

Curse of the Ladybug Cookie
So I posted about our disaster trying to make red cookies, well apparently the bakery couldn't get the dough to go red either using food coloring. So they airbrushed them with a red candy coating. One problem- when you eat the cookies the coloring comes off and makes you look like you are wearing red lipstick. It was absolutely hillarious seeing all the guys with red lips!

The Butcher? The Baker? The Candlestick Maker?

Well we know we are definitely not the baker. So Dustin and I attempted to make cookies this afternoon for Chloe's Birthday party and it was almost comical how lacking our baking skills are. After two whole batches you would think we would get a fair amount of good looking cookies- not so much. Let's just say when a 2-year-old thinks the dough looks like cheese, not so good. So we finally gave up and a much needed call was placed to a local bakery =).

P.S. I think I my have a tummy-ache from trying burnt cookies

Community Classes

For the past month Chloe has been going to a class every Wednesday called "Cooking up a Story." It is really neat, they start with a story, then a craft, game, and snack. Today the story was about a pond so Chloe decorated a fish, went fishing, and made a pudding pond






















A couple weeks ago Chloe got to pick apples off a paper tree.




















Last night my mom and I went to a cooking class called "Cooking with Trader Joes" were they teach you how to make meals using products from Trader Joes, and of course we got to taste each recipe afterwards...yummy!

Weekend Update

Saturday morning we went on a hospital tour and it's recently remodeled so it's pretty snazzy looking. It was also nice to be reminded that I could experience the "worst possible pain" within the next month =) (see picture of a chart that was in the labor and delivery room). Thanks goodness for epidurals!










After the tour, we hung out at my parents house and stopped by a local pioneer carnival. We got there a little late so we just walked around and played at the park.






















Today we went down to LA to watch conference at my grandma's. She always makes the best food, thanks for having us!
