Homebodies

We have been sticking close to home this week, our big excitement was a trip to Target and a walk to see the neighborhood horse.

It's Roadshow Time!

Last night we went out to dinner with my parents and then it was Roadshow Time! If you're not familiar with Roadshow, it's bascially the youth in each of our churches puts on a little "15" minute skit. Anyways it can get get pretty campy, but actually I was quite impressed this year. So my sis, Annie was the Tin Man in Ozzywood and ended up taking home a gold statue for her sweet dancing skills! Anyways it was really fun even with Chloe turning the church into her own little track meet :).

Talking Bout My Girls

Chloe
-Chloe is currently into dresses and skirts, If we are at home she is most likely wearing one of her tutu's.
- She also keeps the laughs coming, at Family Home Evening she was playing with her Noah's Ark toy and everytime it tipped over she would say "woopsie-daisy" I mean where does she learn this stuff? Since it definitely a phrase Dustin uses all the time, ha ha.
-Finally last night for Helpng Hands club, we brought over Garlic bread for the homeless and it took her a little while to understand we were feeding people bread, and not ducks :).

Lilah

-Lilah seems like she is at the stage of rapid growth, and she get less and less floppy everyday now. She is also chunking up with her constant feedings :).
-The other day at church, lilah was cooing along to the hymn- cutest thing ever!
-Lastly, she started laughing! And guess who is the only one who gets out the Giggles? Chloe! It is absolutely adorable, Chloe will make Lilah dance to music and for some reason Lilah thinks it's hillarious.

Happy President's Day!

In a risky move, we went over to the Reagan Library in the rain. Luckily the clouds parted and we were able to make it into the library dry. Anyho- it was a really neat free event they had president look alikes and tons of crafts. Chloe spent most of her time making a birthday card for her pal, Abe!

5 Years of Love

Yesterday, I went to my first Moms in Motion training, and it reminded me a lot of my old track days, probably because we did the same drills. I'm totally out of shape, so I was only able to run for 10 minutes, but you got to start somewhere.

That afternoon, we celebrated Valentines by going out to lunch at Wood Ranch and visiting to a local museum where they had old Valentines on display- some were even from the Civil War Era. Anyways Valentines is extra special for us, since it was the day we first said "I love you" and decided to get married, after a whooping month of dating =). Anyways I love Valentine's Day and Dustin always makes sure it's a special day for me, he's the best!

Sorry for the lack of pictures our camera wasn't charged, so we borrowed my sister's camera. but here are some recent ones of the girls (Chloe put the bow on Lilah's head, and pretty sure Chloe went in the closet to do a number 2 =) )

Mom's Club

Yesterday we braved the frigid 55 degree temp and went to a local Mom's Club activity, it was really fun! They had a tea party, storytime, crafts, and Chloe smoked everyone in the teacup relay race. I think I might join since they have tons of activities and mom's night out.

Recent Happenings...

On Tuesday went to get our Denny's Free Grand Slams for lunch, but apparently the supplies didn't last. It worked out nicely since we got vouchers and had lunch outside in the warm weather.

Yesterday Jean came down and we went to Gull Wing Children Museum. It is definately a homemade museum with an impressive amount of things to do, Chloe had a blast running around from one exhibit to the next.

Finally last night Dustin and I took a Sushi making class. Dustin made the better looking sushi by far (I have a little problem following directions) but at least both our sushi tasted yummy. We used a ton of eel, which at first I was weary of but it turned out to be delicious. So yup, we made california rolls, hands rolls, sushimi, speciality rolls, and caterpillar rolls. It was so much fun, thanks Jean for watching the girls!

Our Weekend...

My parents had to make a last minute trip to Guatemala, so we spent the weekend at their house to watch my sister...

Friday
Jean had her last day of work so we went out to dinner to celebrate her retirement...

Saturday
I took Chloe and Lilah to a local Winter Carnival, although it didn't feel like winter since it was almost 80 degrees =).

Sunday
Big Super Bowl! We had a crew over from Lake Arrowhead and my parents got home right before kick off. We a great time chowing down and watching the game. Too bad the Cardinals lost but at least it was an exciting game!
